How The Wine Room
Wine Club Works

From signup to your first pour — everything you need to know about our $29/month wine membership.

From Signup to First Pour

The 6-Step
Member Journey

01

Join for $29/Month

Signing up takes about two minutes. You can join online at app.joinit.com/o/thewineroom or walk in and sign up in person at The Wine Room in Delray Beach. There are no contracts, no initiation fees, and no hidden charges. You pay $29 and your membership is active immediately. Prefer to commit for the year? An annual plan is available — pay annually and get 2 months free. If you ever decide the club isn't for you, cancel before your next billing date and you won't be charged again. Most members who try it for a single month are still here two or three years later — not because of lock-in, but because the value compounds the more you visit. The $29 is a starting point, not a ceiling, and the benefits you unlock on day one are the same benefits long-term members enjoy.

02

Receive Your Welcome Kit and Wine Card

When you join, you receive a welcome kit that includes your personal Enomatic wine card. This card is the physical key to your membership — it's what you present at the venue to load, and what you insert into any of the 26 self-pour Enomatic machines on the tap wall. The card is linked to your membership account and tracks your balance. It doesn't expire as long as your membership is active. Think of it as a wine-specific stored-value card that also happens to unlock exclusive access to The Rare Room, member pricing, and event invitations. Keep it in your wallet; you'll want it every time you visit.

03

Load Your Wine Card — We Match It Dollar for Dollar

This is the benefit that makes members do the math in their heads the first time they hear it — and then immediately pull out their card. Any time you load money onto your Enomatic wine card, The Wine Room matches that amount instantly, dollar for dollar, with no cap and no minimum load requirement. Load $25 and your card shows $50. Load $100 and it shows $200. Load $500 on a special occasion and you have $1,000 to spend across 180+ wines. The matched funds are available immediately — you can start pouring the moment your card is loaded. There is no approval process, no waiting period, and no limit to how many times you can load and match within a given visit or month. This is not a promotional offer with an expiration date; it's a permanent, ongoing membership benefit.

04

Pick Up Your Monthly Hand-Selected Bottle at the Pickup Party

Each month, The Wine Room's head sommelier selects a single bottle that all Wine Club members receive. This isn't a randomly allocated warehouse wine — it's a thoughtfully chosen bottle that reflects the sommelier's current interests, the season, and a deliberate rotation across regions and styles. Over a full year of membership, you'll receive bottles from different wine-producing regions around the world, spanning red, white, and occasionally sparkling or rosé. You collect your bottle at the monthly pickup party — a members-only event at the venue that doubles as a social occasion. Members gather, often hear from the sommelier about the month's selection and the story behind it, and leave with their bottle in hand. It's not a warehouse line — it's part of the experience. Bottles typically retail for $25–40, meaning your monthly bottle alone often covers the membership cost before you even touch the tap wall.

05

Use Your Wine Card on the 180+ Enomatic Tap Wall Anytime, 7 Days a Week

The tap wall is what makes The Wine Room genuinely unlike any other wine experience in South Florida. Twenty-six Italian Enomatic self-pour machines hold 180+ wines simultaneously — all available to members anytime the venue is open, seven days a week. You insert your card, select your wine, choose your pour size (1oz, 2.5oz, or 5oz), and pour. No waiting for a server, no minimum order, no pressure to commit to a full glass before you've tasted. The 1oz option is the core of the discovery experience — at roughly $1–3 per taste depending on the wine, you can work through five or six different bottles in a single visit without any one of them being a financial commitment. The Enomatic system preserves each bottle under inert gas, which means even delicate and complex wines maintain peak condition for weeks. This is why the tap wall can feature genuinely high-quality bottles — including single-vineyard wines and older vintages — that would never survive a standard open-bottle by-the-glass program.

06

Access The Rare Room and Member-Exclusive Events

Wine Club membership unlocks access to The Rare Room — a members-only collection of 2,400+ allocated and rare bottles that represent some of the most sought-after wines in the world. Single-vineyard Burgundies, aged Barolos, cult Napa Cabernets, Grower Champagnes, and Spanish icons sourced through relationships most private collectors spend years building. Members receive exclusive access and member pricing on the entire Rare Room collection. Beyond the Rare Room, membership includes priority access to a calendar of events: the monthly pickup party, wine dinners with visiting winemakers and importers, private tastings, and member-only experiences that never appear in the public events calendar. These events are where longtime members say the real value of the club lives — the community of people who take wine seriously but wear it lightly.

Understanding Your Wine Card — The Dollar-for-Dollar Match

The wine card is the centerpiece of The Wine Room membership — and the feature that most surprises prospective members when they realize there's genuinely no catch. Here is exactly how it works.

When you join the Wine Club, you receive a personal Enomatic card. This card is the access device for the tap wall: insert it into any of the 26 Enomatic machines, and the machine reads your balance. Your balance on the card is what you spend on pours. To add to your balance, you load money at the venue — hand the card to a team member, tell them the amount, and they load it. At that exact moment, The Wine Room adds the same amount again. The match is instantaneous. There is no daily or monthly cap on how much you can load and match, and there is no minimum. The card balance does not expire as long as your membership remains active.

On the tap wall itself, your card works across all 26 Enomatic machines and all 180+ wines currently featured. Each machine displays the wines it holds, along with the price per pour at each size. Pour sizes are 1oz, 2.5oz, and 5oz — a deliberate range designed to suit everything from a quick taste to a full glass enjoyed with a meal. Because the pricing per ounce is typically similar across pour sizes, the math almost always favors exploring: try three 1oz tastes across three different wines for the same cost as a single 2.5oz pour of something you already know you like.

The Enomatic machines preserve each open bottle under inert gas (argon), which prevents oxidation and keeps the wine in essentially the same condition it was in when the bottle was first opened. This is what makes the 180+ selection possible — without this technology, maintaining this many open bottles simultaneously would mean most of them degrading within a day or two. The technology also means the sommelier can include genuinely delicate wines — aged Rieslings, Premier Cru Burgundy, structured Pinot Noir — that would lose most of their character within hours in a standard open-bottle environment. The tap wall is open seven days a week, giving members year-round, daily access to the full selection.

Your Hand-Selected Monthly Bottle

Every month, The Wine Room's head sommelier selects one bottle that every active Wine Club member receives. This selection process is described in more detail on the sommelier's curation page, but the essentials are worth understanding here as part of the membership experience.

The monthly bottle is not chosen from surplus inventory or whatever has the most margin. It's selected first on merit — a wine the sommelier believes is genuinely worth drinking and sharing — and then filtered through a set of criteria designed to keep the club's selection varied and educational over time. No region repeats too frequently. The style alternates between structured and accessible, bold and elegant, Old World and New World. In any given six-month span, a member should expect to receive bottles that collectively tell a story about the breadth of what wine can be.

The monthly selection also reflects the season. A rich, warming Ribera del Duero or a full-bodied Napa Cabernet makes more sense in the cooler months; a crisp Sancerre or a textured Burgundy white belongs in the Delray Beach spring. The sommelier takes this into account without being so systematic that the selection becomes predictable. The goal is that members look forward to their monthly pick rather than simply expecting it.

Bottles are collected at the monthly pickup party — not shipped, not mailed. The pickup party is a standing social event at the venue, intentionally designed as more than a transaction. Members arrive, collect their bottle, and typically hear from the sommelier about the selection: the producer's background, the vintage, why this bottle this month. Members who have attended the pickup party regularly describe it as the community heart of the club — the place where they've met other serious wine people in Delray Beach who share the same curiosity about wine without the pretension that too often comes with it.

If you cannot attend a pickup party, contact The Wine Room to arrange an alternative collection. Bottles are held for members who reach out in advance. They are not automatically rolled over to the next month — each month's selection is a distinct pick, and arrangements should be made to collect it.

Value Breakdown

The Numbers — What
$29/Month Really Gets You

This is why members say the math doesn't add up — in their favor.

$29
Per month, no commitment
$58+
Minimum value with match
180+
Wines to explore
7
Days/week tap wall access
2,400+
Rare Room bottles
20%
Off 12-bottle purchases

The $58+ minimum value assumes you load just $29 onto your wine card in addition to the membership fee — a single $29 load becomes $58 of spending power on the tap wall. Your monthly bottle, selected by the sommelier, typically retails for $25–40, pushing your first-month value past $83 before you've used any bottle discounts or attended a single event. Members who load $100 onto their card receive $200 of tap wall credit plus the bottle — $225+ in value for a $129 total outlay. The more you use the membership, the more disproportionate the returns become.
